Tariq was born in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India — a left-limb amputee from birth who refused to let any physical limitation define his potential. What began as a hobby became a lifelong passion, a professional career, and eventually, an international journey that has inspired thousands.
With over 10 years of competitive and professional badminton experience, Tariq has competed across 6+ countries, clinched 14+ national championships, and trained at elite academies including in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is recognized as one of India's most celebrated para-badminton champions — and now brings his championship mindset to Singapore as the founder of Star Badminton Academy.
